The Breaking News: Setting up the Trending section

The Breaking News allows you to display selected posts in a trending area at the top of your site. These posts are selected by assigning them a specific tag of your choosing. The section will only display the titles of selected posts.

To set the tag to use in the Trending section, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Appearance → Customize → Theme Options.
  2. In the Theme Options, go to Trending Content Options.
  3. In the Tag name field, add the tag you’ll use on posts to be displayed as Trending Content. For example, you could use the tag trending.
  4. Click Publish.
  5. Add the same tag to the posts you want to display in the Trending area.
